Guy Bauer and Andy Hartman both grew up in historic Matawan, NJ and attended Matawan Regional High School.  Their first project together was in 2000; it was a short film entitled “Brainstorming”  A majority of the film was not shot due to lack of funds (due to Guy getting hitting his friend’s car and having to pay for the damage) but Andy’s diner scene made it.  ”It’s kind of scary how NOT FAR we’ve come since that project,” says Guy Bauer.

In 2001 Guy, Andy and their friends started a homegrown TV called, “The Mother of All Shows.”  The very first sketch shot was called, “The Mark Woods Badass.”  It was about a weird badass dude that roams the streets of The Mark Woods development during the daytime causing trouble for no one since they’re all at work.  ”Or that’s at least what we wanted to have it be about,” says Andy.

Shooting of their pilot wrapped in 2003 and the crew rented out a small theatre in their town to screen “The Mother of All Shows” on August 7, 2003.  So many people came to watch the show that the 250 seat theatre was forced to hold two screenings of the show instead of just the one they had planned.
It was a bittersweet ending to “The Mother of All Shows.”  The crew went their separate ways but Guy and Andy continued trying to make it in comedy.  In 2005, they started a podcast called, “The Guy Bauer Half Hour.”  It quickly caught the attention of CBS Radio’s KYCY-AM in San Francisco and was syndicated their every Friday night at 6pm from 2005 to 2008.

On Tuesday, October 28th, 2008, The Guy Bauer Half Hour debuted as an internet TV show.  Of the future Guy says, “I want to do this show for the rest of my life even if it takes having to work at McDonald’s to support it.”
