I fully identify with you guy, as I was laid off from my government job about 4 years ago. I haven't worked since, and god help me, I'll never work again!
I had 6 months of unemployment insurance at the beginning.
Unemployment insurance only makes it so that you never want to go back to work again.
that prank phone call was brilliant! Super clever idea.

ps - still way too much comp. imo. consider lower ratio, threshold about 6-10 db's below the average peaks, slightly longer attack, longer release.
it sounds like you are limiting it (ratio max to 1). If you do decide to limit it (not a good idea, imo), give it a longer release so that it doesn't pump and breathe so much.

I actually have no idea what that means, but I agree that the Luigi's bit was pure comedic gold. It really couldn't have been scripted much better than that.

yeah stevo - pump and breathe indeed. because I smoke so much, and am in very bad shape, I have to keep repeating internal instructions to myself when I make sexual intercourse at a lady. otherwise I pass out.
